The Mazda Bongo SGL (sometimes badged as Ford Freda) is an ideal candidate for camper conversion. Of compact dimensions and already arriving with a push button electric raising roof, the base van now comes in 3 flavours; 2.5Td, 2.0G and 2.5 V6. Specifications include power assisted steering, ABS, airbags, climate control, electric blinds, electric retractable mirrors and electric easy close sliding door.

The raising roof section has a pull down floor with skylight entrance and there is plenty of storage space above the cab whilst camping. You can also sleep 2 up here - though probably best suited to the kids!
